Year 10 Summer Homework 2018
The summer holiday is just around the corner and we’d like to advise you how you can support your child this summer during the six week break. Attached are the homework expectations for all Year 10 students and all subject areas have provided a homework task.
Once completed, these tasks will need a parent/carer signature on the sheet provided. All tasks should be completed independently by your child and handed in to their subject teacher, along with the signed sheet on their return to school in September.
I hope this information provides you with the relevant details to assist your child in completing homework/coursework set.
Thank you in advance for your help and support in this matter.
vInspired is an independent charity dedicated to helping young people volunteer in ways that matter to them. Its mission is to make volunteering opportunities so diverse, compelling and easy to get involved with that giving up your time to help others becomes a natural lifestyle choice for 14-25 year olds. Since its launch in May 2006, vInspired has worked with over 500 charities and community organisations to create over 1 million youth volunteering opportunities.
We have launched the vInspired Schools programme in Years 9, 10 and 11 to encourage our students to get involved in volunteering and social action while logging their hours towards nationally recognised awards. Many of our students already volunteer in the local community helping out at Brownies, Cubs and after school clubs in primary schools. Volunteering offers many benefits such as demonstrating dedication, commitment, motivation, a sense of achievement and gives the opportunity to gain prized employability skills. Please encourage your son/daughter to engage with this programme both inside and outside school, it enables them to participate in something valuable whilst enhancing their curriculum vitae. Ask them to guide you through our website and show you how they log their volunteering hours recording anything that they do over the summer holidays.
