Careers – Year 10

Year 10

In Year 10 we begin to explore Sixth Form and College options, Apprenticeships and Vocational Courses.

As part of their careers education, students create and regularly update their CVs to reflect their growing skills and experiences. A key highlight of the year is a one-week work experience placement, providing students with valuable first-hand insight into the world of work and helping them develop confidence and employability skills.

We also host an annual Inspiration Day, focused around careers and future pathways. On this day, students take part in a range of workshops and activities led by external visitors from local businesses, training providers, and higher education institutions. The event aims to inspire students, broaden their horizons, and prepare them for entering further education and the workplace.

Throughout the year, students continue to develop essential work-related skills, alongside improving their financial and economic understanding, ensuring they are well-prepared for their next steps.
