Parent/Carer guide to uniform/equipment expectations
Compulsory Items for All Students
All students at John Flamsteed School must wear the following uniform:
- Navy blazer with JFCS badge
- Navy V-neck jumper without logo (optional)
- Years 7-9 wear the prescribed clip-on school tie.
- Years 10-11 wear the prescribed navy and silver school tie (non clip-on)
- White shirt with a top button that ties can be attached t0 (tucked in at the waist and buttoned at the top)
- Plain black trousers (smart tailored, no jeans, leggings or skinny fit trousers)
- Students can wear a plain box-pleated skirt (to the knee or just above) (lycra or pencil skirts are not allowed)
- Students can wear plain black tailored shorts (no cargo shorts with pockets, no sport/cycling/NikePro style shorts, or shorts with logos. Shoes, blazer and tie must still be worn)
- Black or white socks or single tone black tights (no knee-high socks)
- Black shoes (not sling back, logos, open toed, boots, trainers or pumps or canvas material allowed)
- Sensible outdoor coat (fabric hoodies are not acceptable)
- Any religious clothing should be black in colour and without embellishment.
